It all adds up for Mathematicians - record GCSE year

Mathematicians at St Dunstan's College are celebrating their best ever recorded GCSE results with more than 82% gaining a coveted A* or A grade.

This was just one of the many highlights among the GCSE students where the College achieved a 100% pass rate with 98% achieving A*-C grades.

Art and Design staff were also celebrating with an incredible 95% A*-A, closely followed by RS on 90% and Latin on 82%.

Said Headmistress Mrs Jane Davies: "These are just some of the highlights from a very satisfactory year. As a mathematician myself, I am especially pleased with the excellent results from our Maths department. Every single student in Year 11 took that exam so it is a great outcome."

The College's excellent GCSE results come on top of the best ever Year 13 performance where 90% of all grades were A*-B (or their equivalent) and 85% of all students achieved A*-B grades. St Dunstan's offers both A Levels and the prestigious International Baccalaureate where two students were in the top one per cent of students worldwide.

Added Mrs Davies: "This has been a very good year for the College in terms of both GCSE and A Level. My congratulations to all students on their results and my sincere thanks to colleagues for all the hard work they have put in to help them achieve such excellent grades."
