600th Anniversary Dinner

Thursday 13th November 2008

 Guest List

Six hundred years ago on the 7th September 1408 William Barrett made a gift to the Parish of St Dunstan in-the-East. This donation together with others contributed to St Dunstan's operating a school which a Writ of Privy Seal already confirmed in 1446 as one of the five 'scholes of gramer' in the City. More recently the endowment enabled the Parish to set up a scheme in 1865 to build the current College in Catford on land owned by the church.

To mark this Six Hundredth Anniversary, a dinner was held on Thursday 13th November in the Clothworkers Hall in the Ward of Tower which also includes St Dunstan in-the-East. Representatives from all parts of the College community participated including Governors, Companions, current and former staff, Dunstonians from different eras and Parents past and present together with a number of senior guests from the City.

The evening began with a Champagne Reception, followed by a five course dinner including wine and port, with music from the
Royal Artillery Band
