Award win for College chef
Graham Coote, Sous Chef at St Dunstan’s, has received an award for his passion and dedication towards implementing a new initiative at the College.
Graham has been overseeing the introduction of “Trim Trax” – a system designed to reduce wastage by compiling daily information which highlights wastage and encourages staff to be more aware of how they use core commodities.
The judges of Be a Compass Star, which rewards employees who have excelled in key areas, were so impressed by the way in which Graham had embraced and taken ownership of the Trim Trax initiative and engaged all staff, that they awarded him the Passion category. They went on to say that Graham’s attitude and passionate approach was infectious to others around him.
Steve Jeffs, Catering Manager, commented: “With over 75 UK wide nominations received, this award is a fantastic achievement for Graham, especially as the quality of the nominations was extremely high. Graham has been with us for 15 months and in time here he has grown in his role of Sous Chef and is always up-beat and positive. Congratulations”.
