Year 9 CCF Field Weekend
Last weekend 31 cadets and six officers went to Mereworth Woods Training Area. This is the first opportunity for the Year 9 cadets to really see what the CCF Army Section get up to and it was also their first chance to fire the new cadet rifle and spend the night out in the woods.
The weekend went very well with all the cadets learning lots of new skills and being pushed to their limit. It was one of the coldest weekends the officers could remember and many cadets woke up with frost on the shelters and a frozen water bottle.
Major Davies would like to thank Frank Andrews and Chester Holme who commanded the two sections of Year 9 cadets all weekend.
