
Year 13 results 2011 – our best results ever
St Dunstan’s is the only College locally to offer both A Levels and the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) in the Sixth Form. We have had our best year ever for both courses.
International Baccalaureate
- 100% pass rate.
- 55% of Higher Level subjects achieved the maximum of 7 or 6 points - the equivalent to an A*-A grade at A Level
- 88% of Higher Level subjects scored 7, 6 or 5 points, the equivalent of A*-B at A level.
- The average IB Diploma score was 35.4 (worldwide average points score in 2010 was 29.55).
- Two students scored an outstanding 43 points, placing them in the top 1% of candidates worldwide.
- Five students in total achieved 40 points or more, putting them in the top 7% of students worldwide.
A Levels
- 100% pass rate.
- More than 85 per cent of grades were A* to B, against national average of 52.2%
- Almost half of all grades were either A* or A.
Combined results
Convert St. Dunstan’s IB diploma scores into their A Level equivalent to give a comparison with schools who only offer A Levels:
- 100% pass rate
- 83% of all students achieved the equivalent of three A level grades A*- B or better
- 90% of all grades were grades A*- B for A Level students or their equivalent for IB students
- 28 students (or almost one in two) achieved the equivalent of all A*s and A’s
- Combine the UCAS points achieved by all students and the average A Level equivalent score per student is two A*s and an A
