St Dunstan’s Sixth Form offers loads of activities outside the classroom. There is always an incredible amount going on both to challenge students academically and to give them a chance for fun and relaxation to balance the hard work.
There is a wide choice of indoor and outdoor sports for anyone wanting exercise and team games. Facilities include floodlit all weather courts, a cardio room, weights room, large sports hall, on-site playing fields and heated indoor pool.
The CCF and Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme offer the opportunity to learn leadership skills, survival skills in the great outdoors and undertake community service.
Shows, plays and reviews take centre stage in the life of the whole school. Opportunities to perform are numerous and range from 20th century musicals through to Shakespeare plays. Those with a musical interest can join an orchestra or one of the many choirs or singing groups.
Students can meet world-leading scientists at the Armstrong Society, argue their way to success in the College and elsewhere as a member of the debating team or expand their portfolio and acquire a good working knowledge of Italian or Japanese.
If travel appeals, recent months would have offered the chance to tour the Mediterranean with the Classics Society, visit museums and galleries in Madrid, ski in Switzerland, train with the CCF in Switzerland and sing in Estonia.
