The Bursar is responsible to the Governing Body and the Headmistress for the provision of a range of financial, administrative and support services. The groups who work for the Bursar in providing these services are known collectively as, "The Bursary". Somewhat confusingly the term Bursary is also used to describe a financial award made to a pupil in order to allow them to study at the College. All of these terms have their origin in medieval latin, "bursarius",  keeper of the purse. 

The Bursary departments are, Finance, Administration, Facilities, including, Cleaning, Grounds, House and Premises, ICT and Catering.
