The Year 6 trip to France last week was once again 'fantastique' and the children all had a wonderful time - in fact a few of them had done so much talking that upon their return they were so hoarse they found it difficult actually telling their parents all about it!! On the way to the Chateau near Paris where we were staying, we visited the awe-inspiring Vimy Ridge War Memorial dedicated to the thousands of brave Canadian soldiers who gave their lives in WW1. There followed a visit to a French market and some keen haggling over souvenirs and cow's tongue, an excursion to a snail farm to learn more about these amazing creatures (and sample their flavour one evening), a day spent seeing the sights and soaking up the atmosphere of Paris and an amazing day with Mickey and all his chums at EuroDisney. Intersperse this with some games of football, visits to the tuck shop, crepe making, swimming and plenty of chatting after lights out and you have all the makings of an unforgettable trip and one that was enjoyed by everyone involved - and a special thank you to the children for being so well behaved and doing us all proud.
