St Dunstan’s College is set within 40 acres of grounds across two sites in Catford, south-east London, just 15 minutes by train from London Bridge or Charing Cross.

Our magnificent Victorian buildings, dating back to our 1888 foundation, sit alongside award-winning 21st century developments, creating a campus where heritage meets innovation.

The Great Hall

At the heart of the College, the Great Hall is both a physical and symbolic centrepiece. Recently renovated with a new organ, sound and lighting system, it is used for assemblies, concerts, musicals and plays, as well as wider community events. It also houses the permanent memorial to Dunstonians who gave their lives in the Great Wars, framed by striking stained glass windows depicting the life of St Dunstan.

STEM Centre for Excellence and Innovation

St Dunstan’s has been a pioneer in science and innovation since its earliest days. In 2021, we opened our £25 million STEM Centre for Excellence and Innovation, home to Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Mathematics and Design Engineering. Facilities include:

  • 12 state-of-the-art laboratories

  • Engineering workshops with 3D printers and laser cutters

  • Dedicated mathematics classrooms

  • A glass atrium linking to the Junior School

This flagship centre reflects our commitment to hands-on, inquiry-based learning in science and technology.

Performing Arts Centre and Theatre

Opened in 2022, our Performing Arts Centre provides outstanding facilities for Drama, Music and the Performing Arts. The centre includes:
  • Large rehearsal studios and practice rooms

  • Specialist LAMDA spaces

  • A music technology classroom

  • A 170-seat theatre for productions, conferences and community events

The centre reflects the passion and ambition of our students, enabling professional-standard performances in the heart of the College.

Learning Resource Centre

Blending tradition and innovation, our Learning Resource Centre combines a modern library with digital resources, collaborative study zones, and quiet spaces for independent learning. It provides pupils with opportunities for enrichment and specialist academic support.

State-of-the-Art Classrooms

Since 2018, classrooms have been refurbished in a rolling programme, designed to retain their 130-year heritage while integrating modern technology, flexible furniture and fittings that support innovative teaching and learning.

Wellness Centre

The College’s Wellness Centre is a dedicated hub for student mental and physical wellbeing. Housed in the historic Pavilion, it includes:

  • First Aid and medical support

  • Counselling and chaplaincy services

  • Peer mentoring spaces

  • Rooms for stillness, reflection and wellbeing activities

Sport and Leisure Facilities

Students benefit from a wide range of sporting opportunities across both our sites. Facilities include:

  • Two large playing fields

  • A sports hall, gym and fitness studio

  • A 31-metre indoor swimming pool

  • Climbing and bouldering walls (including a lead climbing wall with crack climb and abseil ledges, and a Bluetooth-enabled MoonBoard)

In addition, our Jubilee Ground, just three minutes’ walk from the main site, offers 23 acres of playing fields, natural cricket, football and rugby pitches, and multi-use games areas for hockey, football, netball and rugby

The Plaza

Located at the heart of the College, The Plaza is a multi-recreational outdoor space for students and staff to enjoy. First opened in 2021 and named by our pupils, it has quickly become a much-loved social hub.

In summer 2025, work began on a major redesign and rebuild of The Plaza – the next step in our ongoing investment in the College estate. This transformation will create a more inspiring and functional outdoor environment for everyone who learns, plays, teaches and works here.

We are delighted to be working with award-winning landscape and garden designer Guillaume Baltz, who has drawn on ideas from pupils of all ages, teachers, and staff to create a thoughtful blend of fun, learning, nature and calm.

The new Plaza will feature:

  • Beautiful new surfacing and natural landscaping

  • Meadows and water features

  • Learning-through-play activities

  • Spaces to relax, unwind and connect with friends

  • Outdoor classrooms

  • Open areas for running and enjoying break times

When complete, The Plaza will be a vibrant central space that reflects the spirit of St Dunstan’s – innovative, inclusive and community-focused.

Ecology Pond

Our ecology pond, with sweeping views of the College site, is used for outdoor lessons and maintained by the student-led Ecology Club. The area supports biodiversity, with hedgerows, bird feeders and wildlife cameras enriching the learning environment.

Dunstonian Office and Archives

The College archives are a thriving resource for students, staff and alumni, celebrating St Dunstan’s long history while supporting academic projects and preserving the community’s shared heritage.
