At Junior School we are all about giving children experiences that open their eyes and shape their journey.

We are so proud of the varied journeys all of our school community embark upon as they 'adorn the white' of their shields.

Here are a few stories from Junior School pupils to give you a flavour of the memories your child could make:

Sonny

Junior School Stories - Sonny

I loved the Year 6 production, the residentials and the fun I had in my classes with my friends and teachers. I was nervous when I started but my Year 3 teacher helped me settle in   immediately. What makes the school so special is the community; I loved all my teachers and teaching assistants. Learning is fun at the Junior School!

We chose the Junior School because of the staff and it feeling not purely results driven. The great extra curricular choices for aspects of all a child’s personality, the diversity of it’s families and the feeling of community. The whole family has made friends for life and our son's confidence has soared. The community is welcoming and fun and has helped our children be confident, courageous and kind little humans.- Sonny's parents

Ella

Junior School Stories - Ella

I loved our residentials to France and the Isle of Wight, where I got to experience so many fun activities alongside my friends. Singing with the choir at Royal Festival Hall and swimming in the Olympic pool in Stratford were also unforgettable highlights, as well as performing in the Year 6 production of High School Musical. However, some of my favourite memories aren’t the big events, but the small, everyday moments spending time with my friends doing things I love - like playing on the field at breaktime or rehearsing for the production.  So many things make St Dunstan’s special, from the amazing teachers to the incredible variety of activities on offer. But if I had to choose just one thing, it would be the sense of community. You aren’t just joining a school - it truly feels like a second home. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive, creating an environment where you can be completely yourself, discover who you are, and have the absolute best time while learning. - Ella

We chose St Dunstan's for the ideal balance between strong academics and excellent pastoral care. When we visited, the pupils seemed genuinely happy, confident, and grounded. We wanted a school that would challenge our children academically while nurturing their individual personalities and well-being, and St Dunstan’s really stood out. Unlike other schools, the children didn’t feel like they were cut from a mould - they were celebrated for their own unique identities. This focus on the whole child is perfectly reflected in the co-educational environment, which was an important factor for our family. We have two daughters at St Dunstan’s and it was seeing them come home day after day genuinely excited to talk about what they had learned, witnessing how supportive their teachers were, and becoming part of a diverse, welcoming parent community.- Ella's parents
