On 20 March 2026, London's cadet and reserve communities came together for the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London and Greater London Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Association Award Ceremony 2026, where several London Cadets, Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers were recognised for their outstanding service to London's Reserve and Cadet units.

St Dunstan’s College Corps of Drums was greatly honoured to be invited to perform as part of this prestigious occasion. Led by Drum Major Amy Francis, the Corps of Drums delivered an outstanding seven-minute set, performing with confidence, precision and professionalism throughout. Their performance was met with a huge round of applause from the audience and was a fitting reflection of the high standards, commitment and pride shown by the cadets. The quality of the performance was further recognised at its conclusion when, as Drum Major Francis asked permission to march the Corps off, the Lord-Lieutenant described the performance as “superb”, a wonderful tribute to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.

This event was particularly significant for the Year 13 cadets taking part, for whom this may have been their final performance as cadets at St Dunstan’s College. Their contribution to the Corps of Drums over the years has been considerable, and it was especially pleasing to see them take part in such an important and memorable occasion. Congratulations go to all the cadets who performed and represented the College so well. Thanks, must also go to CSgt Ledger-Humphreys and 2Lt Pridmore for the considerable work carried out behind the scenes to prepare the Corps for the event and ensure the performance was such a success.

The invitation to perform at this important London ceremony was both a privilege and a reflection of the growing reputation of the St Dunstan’s College Corps of Drums. All those involved should be extremely proud of their efforts.
