Students from Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 enjoyed a fantastic Adventure Week in 2026, with the wet June weather doing nothing to dampen their spirits!

Year 7 enjoyed a trip to PGL in Torquay, taking part in a wide range of adventurous activities, from fencing and abseiling to raft-building and archery.

Year 8 were off to Boughton Woods, near Kettering, getting stuck in to the world of bushcraft and working together to build shelters and learn survival skills.

Our Year 9s completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expeditions in the Peak District, developing their map-reading skills, pitching their own tents, and cooking their own food on the campsite.

Year 10 had a choice between two exciting adventures: rock-climbing in the Peak District or canoeing in Herefordshire. On both trips, students developed their resilience and leadership skills, helping their classmates navigate challenging situations with confidence.

To round off the trips, Year 12 enjoyed their annual trip to the Isle of Arran, escaping the London rush and experiencing the beauties of island life, including water sports, abseiling and hiking.

Adventure Week is all about getting students out of the classroom and into the outdoors, building the necessary skills to thrive in their adult lives beyond St Dunstan’s. We’re so proud of the way the students all rose to the occasion, demonstrating team-work, resilience and determination, and having lots of fun along the way.
