Royal Navy Cadets in Year 11 attended a two-day Cadet Instructor Course held on-site at the College over the first weekend of the October Exeat.
This core component covers considerable ground and includes preparing and delivering practical and theory lessons, drill instruction and raising their levels of general RN knowledge.
Run as a residential course over four days in previous years, Cadets will now complete the full Course syllabus over subsequent Monday parades up until Christmas. The Cadet Instructor Course, crucial to the running of the Section, provides the opportunity for the cadets to develop skills that they have acquired during their CCF training to-date and prepares them for the more senior ranks in the coming years.
The Cadets are to be congratulated on their effort, enthusiasm and commitment – a very successful weekend. Well done to all concerned.
