St Dunstan’s College is delighted to reveal it has won two awards at the 28th Annual Communicator Awards in New York.

The winners, announced by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), were chosen from more than 4,000 entries across the world from digital agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, design firms, and public relations firms.

The College was awarded two awards for branded story and branding for its most recent video ‘Albam Exorna’ which celebrates life at St Dunstan’s from junior school to sixth form. Other winners for 2022 include Forbes, Disney, Philips and T-Mobile.

Speaking about the award, St Dunstan’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Jordon-Lee Squibb said: ‘We are delighted to have been recognised by the Communicator Awards alongside some of the most well-known organisations in the world.

‘A special thank you to the team at Affixxius Films who helped us create something rather special with the campaign.’

The video, produced by Affixxius Films, was shot at the College last September over the course of five days. During the feature, St Dunstan’s motto Albam Exorna comes to life as a teacher makes their way around the school site before arriving in the Great Hall, where students are surrounding a giant St Dunstan’s shield. Translating as ‘adorn the white’, the motto Albam Exorna is as relevant today as it was at the time of the school’s foundation in 1888. The College’s white shield serves as a blank canvas onto which is emblazoned the story of each St Dunstan’s pupil.

‘Coming in as the new managing director of the AIVA, I was thrilled to be greeted by such a high level of creativity amongst the submissions for the 28th season of The Communicator Awards,’ said new AIVA Managing Director Lauren Angeloni. ‘I want to congratulate all of the honourees for their well-deserved wins. I also would like to extend deep and sincere thanks to our jurors, who have devoted a massive amount of time to give back to their communities in the evaluation of so much amazing and powerful work.’

The Communicator Awards is the leading international creative awards programme honouring creative excellence for marketing and communications professionals. Founded nearly three decades ago, the Communicator Awards is an annual competition honouring the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio.

Earlier this year, the College won an Inspired Brilliance Award and is also nominated for two Clarion Awards at the upcoming EVCOM London Awards.
