Year 10 Navy cadets complete their PADI Open Water Diving course
  • CCF

Following the ‘Pool and Theory’ element of their qualification during the last week of the summer Exeat, Year 10 Navy cadets completed their PADI Open Water Diving course with the Nemes Diving Academy over the weekend of Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September.

CCF Staff conveyed the cadets to Holborough Lakes in Kent where they completed four lake dives over the weekend. They not only acquired a wide range of basic diving skills but also got the opportunity to navigate with a compass underwater and explore the ‘wreck’ area in the lake. The lake dives concluded with the cadets achieving their Open Water PADI qualification.

This qualification will allow the students to continue to dive at a maximum depth of 18 metre and is the beginning of a lifetime filled with dive adventures.
