The 2020 Bebras Challenge is well underway at St Dunstan’s and all Key Stage 3 students will be taking part this year.
The Bebras Challenge is organised in over 50 countries and designed to get students excited about computational thinking. The challenges are comprised of a set of tasks that require logical thinking. Luckily, this is an activity that is unaffected by the pandemic: students can enter and complete the challenge from home.
Head of Computing, Mr McStravick, said: ‘The Computing Department at St Dunstan’s has seen enormous growth over the last few years and with the introduction of our new A Level curriculum, students are now getting a chance to explore what it means to be a Computer Scientist from an early age.
‘All Students will receive certificates for taking part in the Challenge and the top student in each class and year group will receive prizes and House Points, as well as the chance to take part in the Oxford Challenge in March 2021. Best of luck to all!’
