Congratulations to Old Dunstonian Joss Young on completing his Initial Training at Britannia Royal Naval College and Passing Out to become an Officer in the Royal Navy.
Joss rose to the rank of Coxswain in the Royal Navy Section of the Combined Cadet Force (2014/15) whilst at St Dunstan’s College and subsequently returned to become an officer in the CCF. He has been a most ardent supporter of the CCF and Royal Navy Section and maintained exceptionally high standards as both a cadet and officer whilst with us.
It was with great pride that Major Davies, Commander Main and Lt Davies were invited to attend the Passing Out Parade at Britannia Royal Naval College on Thursday 15 August with Joss’ family.
Speaking about the day, Lt Davies said: 'The parade was a truly fantastic spectacle, with the military precision and flair that can be expected from an establishment that has been delivering world class Naval Officer training since 1863, in the beautiful setting overlooking the River Dart.
'The CCF and the College wish Midshipman Young all the best with his ongoing training and the start of what we are sure will be a very successful career as a submariner in the Royal Navy.'
