St Dunstan’s Green Society hosted a special assembly on Friday 17 January to raise awareness of sustainability.
The society works closely with the College’s bursar, Mrs Wilkins, to help sustainability at the St Dunstan’s.
Speaking about the assembly, society leader Ottilie said: 'My aim was to help inspire our whole community to begin to adopt a different and more sustainable outlook in everyday activities.
‘I spoke about how we can recycle more, student involvement in the College’s meat free Tuesdays and how we can all reduce our food waste.'
Last year, St Dunstan’s Sustainability Committee was formed, and is the only working group to include pupils, staff and parents. The group plans and works on various projects to help sustainability across the College site.
She added: ‘The fact is that the decisions we are making right now are the ones that matter and that every single person in both our community and globally have a huge potential to make a positive change towards a more sustainable and brighter future.
‘We need as many people in our College to participate in more sustainable practices for the sake of generations to come.’
