Royal message from Harry and Meghan

St Dunstan’s College reception classes were delighted to receive a message from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The message comes after the two classes, 00P and 00R, sent the Duke and Duchess handmade cards in December to wish them a happy Christmas.

The two classes were thrilled to receive something back from Kensington Palace.

The card read: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Sussex thank you for the very kind message you sent for Christmas

‘This was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send their best wishes for Christmas and for the New Year’

Tamara Shaw, head of St Dunstan’s Pre-Prep, said: ‘The children and staff were very excited to receive a reply from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

‘All of the children really enjoyed making the cards for the royal couple and it was lovely to see the finished cards ready to be sent off.’

Reception class 00P designed their card based on the famous Van Gogh ‘starry night’ painting which they had been looking at during their recent topic. Meanwhile, class 00R went for a more traditional festive scene with a Christmas tree on the front.

Each of the cards were handmade by the pupils and each of the cards has been signed individually by the pupils.

Tamara added: ‘It was great to receive something back from the palace. The children were excited to receive a message from a real prince and princess.’
