St Dunstan’s College is delighted to reveal it has been shortlisted at the Independent Schools of the Year awards.
The College has been nominated for ‘Co-educational Independent School of the Year’ at the prestigious awards.
Independent Schools of the Year 2020 is an awards scheme run by the Independent School Parent portfolio of magazines to celebrate the success stories of schools and their students across the independent education sector in the UK and British schools overseas.
A spokesperson for the College said: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted for Co-education Independent School of the Year. It has been an extraordinary end to the school year, as our lessons and learning went virtual but our community is stronger than ever.
‘This nomination comes at an exciting time for St Dunstan's, as next year the College will open an extensive redevelopment of the Stanstead Road site, with state-of-the-art facilities that include: a new Junior School; a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Centre; and a Sixth Form Hub.
‘Following on from this, a new Performing Arts Centre (PAC) and multi-purpose outdoor space, ‘The Plaza’, will open.’
According to Independent School Parent, ‘Judges will be looking for something special – for the school to be going above and beyond in providing for its students, and will expect to see this passion for the student experience in how the entrant narrates its story and draws them into the life of the school.’
The Judges will be meeting at the end of summer to reach a decision on the winner of each category and the results will be announced in October.
