A group of Ms Melhorn’s Year 8 French pupils treated Lower School to a dramatic reenactment of the French Revolution on Tuesday 24 September.

The powerful performance was acted entirely in French, and was just one of the events taking place at St Dunstan’s this week to mark European Day of Languages on Thursday 26 September.

Speaking about the performance, Ms Melhorn said: ‘The stars of the show included Annika with her fabulous interpretation of Marie Antoinette declaring 'let them eat cake!', Liam's regal embodiment of King Louis XVI being dragged to the guillotine and Yasmin as a wonderfully imperious Napoleon!

'The reenactment was beautifully narrated by Lola, Evan and Sofia all with impeccable pronunciation.

‘Staff and students alike enjoyed the show and now all know a lit bit more about this important historical event.'
