The gift of education

Our mission is to ensure that a St Dunstan’s education is accessible to every bright and talented young person in our community, regardless of financial circumstance.

Bursaries are at the heart of this vision. Through bursaries we can open doors, broaden horizons and create life-changing opportunities for young people who might otherwise never have access to a St Dunstan’s education. Having a diverse student body builds a richer, more vibrant school community, which all pupils benefit from.

By growing our Bursary Fund, we can support academically gifted pupils from lower-income families and provide them with the opportunity to thrive at St Dunstan’s, and beyond.

Since establishing our Philanthropy Office in 2020, our community has helped raise nearly £2.5 million in philanthropic support.

In 2025, we launched our first Bursary Endowment Fund and have already secured £1 million in investments alongside £1.2 million in pledges.

Our ambition is to raise £10 million by 2038, celebrating St Dunstan’s 150th anniversary by creating a lasting legacy of opportunity for generations of young people to come.

If you are able to support our Bursary Endowment Fund, you will be giving an extraordinary opportunity to academically able children from our local area to benefit from education that would otherwise have been entirely inaccessible to them.

We know from experience that bursary pupils make an invaluable contribution to our school community. We currently support 78 bursary students throughout the College but we need to do more.

By giving a gift to support bursary students:

  • More children with outstanding promise will be able to access an excellent education at St Dunstan’s beyond financial constraint.
  •  More young people will have the confidence to navigate their future effectively, with the compassion to understand and appreciate others.
  • Our whole student community will benefit from the diversity of its members.
