Spotlight on the theatre

St Dunstan's College Theatre, built on the footprint of the original woodwork labs from 1888, is a vital creative hub not just for our students, but also for the wider local community.

Each year, the theatre hosts 20+ performances, all accessible to the public, alongside rehearsals, workshops and community-led activity. From professional-standard productions to community celebrations, this is a space where creativity, confidence and connection come alive.

St Dunstan's has an impressive track record in staging inspiring and memorable live performances over its long history. This academic year alone has seen several acclaimed productions in the theatre including a celebrated performance of The Importance of Being Ernest, which existing theatre donors were treated to an exclusive pre-show tour and drinks reception.

We are now seeking support to complete the theatre’s original technical vision and unlock its full potential.

By naming a seat, you may choose to celebrate your family's connection to the school, honour a loved one, or reflect your own passion for theatre and the performing arts, creating a lasting tribute at St Dunstan's.

By sponsoring a seat for £350 or becoming a performance sponsor for £500, you will be supporting a first-class resource that inspires and enthuses Dunstonian students for years to come.

Whatever you choose, you can be sure that you will be playing your own part in ensuring the very best of the performing arts at St Dunstan's.

Please make a one off donation online today HERE (called "a Single Direct Debit Donation") if you're a current parent or via the payment platform Stripe on our alumni software SDConnect HERE if you are a Dunstonian.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Claire Barlow, Philanthropy Manager, at philanthropy@stdunstans.org.uk.

Other Small Capital Projects

We regularly run “discreet” capital projects ranging between £10k and £25K to respond to urgent needs or simply make an idea come true: the commemorative plaque at the front of the College, reminding us of our links with the City of London where the College has its roots in the Parish of St Dunstan in the East was funded by Dunstonian Philip Greader (’76) in 2024, whilst the stained glass windows were repaired in 2025 thanks to another generous Dunstonian, John Nightingale (’63).

We currently have several ongoing small projects, including a Junior School Library, a Therapy Garden and a Sensory Pod to be linked to the Wellness Centre as well as Robotic Labs for our STEM provisions and a Photography Studio for our Arts Department.

Please get in touch if you would like to support one of these projects by emailing Isabelle Blake-James, Director of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations at philanthropy@stdunstans.org.uk.
