GCSE Results

At St Dunstan’s College, we are proud of the success of our students in all areas, including their academic achievements at Year 11.

In the summer 2024 examinations, Year 11 students achieved the best GCSE results in the school’s history. 90% of all grades were 9-6, equivalent to A*-B, with an exceptional 78% being 9-7, which is A*- A, and 53% 9-8, which is the former A*.

The historic GCSE results positioned St Dunstan's as 56th in the United Kingdom on The Times' league table.

‘Our Year 11 students have worked incredibly hard over the last two years in preparing for their GCSE examinations. Working alongside their dedicated teachers, students have fully embraced our forward-thinking Middle School programme and truly deserve these excellent results. For a second consecutive year, our GCSE outcomes have risen, which this year includes a 10% increase on our 9-7 (A*-B) results since last year.'

- Head of Senior School, Jade McLellan

Pupils work successfully and positively with their teachers. Teachers’ deep subject knowledge enables greater challenges for pupils and the act of learning becomes a pleasurable and fulfilling experience. Lessons are engaging, purposefully paced, well-planned and adopt an effective range of teaching strategies, built on the teachers’ deep understanding of their pupils and their individual needs.
