We are immensely proud of our fully-personalised 'Futures Programme' which, in Sixth Form, supports our students in identifying, applying to and securing their place at their chosen destination.
Carefully tailoring our extensive support and guidance to each student, we have a strong record of success in helping students discover and pursue a wide range of different pathways, from Oxbridge to conservatoires, and from apprenticeships to global universities.
We equip you with the tools to succeed, and the courage to imagine bold possibilities.

'LaunchPad' within Futures
LaunchPad is one of two strands of our Futures Programme. It is designed to help every student discover their academic strengths, explore future destinations, and build a compelling application – whatever their next step may be.
From Michaelmas, every Sixth Form student joins a weekly Pathways Forder, choosing from ten broad themes – from Medicine & Health to Creative Arts to Law & Public Affairs. Guided by expert Pathway Leads, alumni, and guest speakers, students take part in super-curricular projects, seminars, national competitions, and mentoring to deepen their subject knowledge and build strong university applications.
In Lent and Trinity terms, pathways narrow to focus on specific destinations – from Engineering at Oxbridge to Dentistry, Music Conservatoires, and Apprenticeships – tailored to each student’s goals.
Alongside this, LaunchPad provides structured support at every stage: mock interviews, assessment preparation, audition workshops, personal statement support, and 1:1 guidance from tutors and Futures staff.
Progress is tracked through Unifrog, building a portfolio that feeds directly into UCAS, conservatoire, or apprenticeship applications.
By Year 13, every student leaves with a clear academic identity, a strong record of achievement, and the
confi dence to take their next step.
Support for Oxbridge Applications
Our Oxbridge Programme is a flagship strand of LaunchPad, giving every candidate the strongest possible preparation for one of the world’s most competitive admissions processes.
From Year 12, students join weekly seminars with our Oxbridge Coordinators and subject mentors, engaging with undergraduate-level texts, debating complex ideas, and refining written work or problem sets. Students are also encouraged to enter prestigious essay competitions and Olympiads to build intellectual stretch and evidence of academic excellence.
Over the summer, each student receives a personalised Oxbridge Summer Passport to guide their preparation.
Coordinators and mentors then work closely with students on every element of their application – personal statements, written work, admissions test preparation, and interview practice – ensuring they enter the process with genuine subject passion and real confidence.

LaunchPad in Action: Support for Every Ambition
See the list below for just some of our most popular pathways, and we support you in pursuing them. In recent years we have also supported students applying to military officer training, ballet conservatoires, STEM subjects at Imperial and UCL, top art schools, language immersion gap years abroad, and specialist programmes in fields from Japanese to environmental
science.

Thoughts on the Futures Programme from our Recent Graduates
The Futures Convention really helped me prepare for university by teaching me how to write a personal statement, and it confirmed what I wanted to pursue later in life. It also gave me a list of suggested books which I could then include in my personal statement and interviews.
I found that my confidence got better as all the teachers were so supportive and the Futures Programme covered all the bases needed to be ready for university.”
Isabel is now studying Viola Performance at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
The Futures guidance at St Dunstan’s helped me to carve out a pathway for myself, at a time when I felt completely undecided.
The Futures team put several options on my map, whilst also offering
opportunities to talk to people working in those fields.
For every leg of my UCAS journey, there was staff able to share advice and give prep sessions, taster sessions, mock exams and interviews, all of whom I have to thank for my current position."
Jamie is now studying Music at Cambridge University.
From super-curricular reading, to Olympiad support, essay competitions, and guest speakers; if anything, St Dunstan's equipped me with more than I could possibly fit into my Personal Statement.
Beyond this, the many further opportunities - becoming prefect, leading Forder clubs - ensured I was not only focused academically, but also developed soft skills essential for the workplace.
Without their support, I would not be where I am today.”
Eric is now studying Psychology at UCL.
